RIESS Three-Tier Enamel Food Container
RIESS Three-Tier Enamel Food Container
This 3-tier, airtight food container serves as a lunch box or as countertop storage in the kitchen. The rubber seal in the lid of the enamel container prevents any liquid from leaking out or air escaping. Enamel prevents bacteria growth and is resistant to fruit acid, so it is ideally suited to the kitchen. Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures. The non-porous, smooth, cut and scratch-resistant glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene. Enamel dishes are recommended for those allergic to nickel. Scratch resistant. Prevents bacteria growth and is aroma neutral.
Easy to clean, the bottom part of this container can also be used as a cooking pot. For example, if you go camping you can first use the storage container to transport your food and then to heat it up over a campfire during food prep.
The "lids" in between each bowl can serve as a plate while eating.

Made In: Austria
This family-owned pan-forge business which has been in the Riess family for nine generations was founded in 1550 in Ybbsitz, Austria. Today it is known for its top quality enamel-ware, made in their carbon neutral facility using locally-generated hydro power along the Ybbs river. AMEICO introduces Riess in the US their classic designs from the 1920-1960s.
Riess uses a 40-step handmade process to make each enameled pot. Iron pots are pressed and stamped, and dipped in porcelain enamel, dried and fired at 850°C to be glass-fused. The result is long lasting, heat resistant up to 450°C, non-reactive, anti-bacterial, cut and scratch resistant. Since Riess’s porcelain enamel is all natural, including the metal oxides used in the dyes, the entire item is metal-recyclable.
