A beautifully made wooden toy boat, the perfect companion for bath time or to be admired on a shelf! Its shape is inspired by tuna boats, fishing boats of yesteryear with which our ancestors fished for… big fish!

This boat was handcrafted in Maison Triot’s Breton, France workshop using the same know-how, the same techniques, passed down from generation to generation since 1946. The N202 model – known as the Sloop – is a small 21cm sailing boat. This boat is equipped with a sloop rig and cotton sails. A Bermudan sailing boat (with a triangular mainsail attached to the top of the mast) is called a sloop when it carries a single headsail. Historically, sloops were fast and highly maneuverable fishing vessels. This boat will delight young sailors and accompany them on their first maritime adventures, whether in the bath or in seaside pools.

Material: Solid Beech Wood; Cotton

To produce high-quality products and maintain complete control over the manufacturing process, Maison Triot carefully select their timber from the outset. It is entirely French wood, chosen directly from standing trees in forests located near their manufacturing workshop.

Overall Dimension: L:8” x W:3.25" x H:9.75"

Made in France

Robust, it will last you your whole life if you give it the little bit of care it needs. Indeed, wood is a living material that reacts to water. Despite all the care taken in the construction of our boats, it is not recommended to leave them in contact with water for prolonged periods of time. It is important to let your boat dry in the shade and away from excessive heat after each use.
Fair winds, sailor!

Maison Tirot was founded in 1946 by Francis Tirot in Brittany, France, where the company remains more than 75 years later. For four generations, the company has preserved and shared its craftsmanship through registered designs, producing authentic children’s toys that meet strict French and European safety standards. Each boat is handmade and hand-painted, reflecting a deep commitment to quality and tradition. Since 2021, Augustin Hubert, mentored by Nicolas Tirot, has led the company as the only French manufacturer of wooden toy boats. Recognized for its exceptional expertise, Maison Tirot was awarded the prestigious EPV (Living Heritage Company) label in 2012 and also received the Brittany Creation Prize that same year.
