Designer Oiva Toikka created the Birds by Toikka collection in close collaboration with glassblowers in 1972. The collection features handcrafted and mouthblown glass birds that embody Toikka's passion for nature and blown glass art. The small Flycatcher, initially designed in the 1970s, is a sympathetic bird with a white beak and clear body that reflects light beautifully. Flycatcher is a treasured home decor item and makes for a lovely gift due to its unique personality and craftsmanship. Each glass bird is a one-of-a-kind piece made by hand at the Iittala Glass Factory.
