Oak Village Co., Ltd. was established in 1974 as a furniture crafting company in the heavily wooded area of Takayama in Gifu, Japan where wood working has flourished for over 1,300 years.

Their studio emphasizes products made only from local trees by using traditional Japanese wood crafting techniques.
Made exclusively from local wild tree wood, their products were designed by Japanese artists with the collaborative efforts of Oak Village.
